FAQ

HOW MANY SESSIONS IS RECOMMENDED FOR AN ADULT?

Clients may experience relief from various physical conditions after a single session; however, chronic issues such as long-term back pain, nervous disorders, and migraines typically require a more structured approach. For optimal results, consistent sessions every other week for a duration of two months are advisable. While many clients report positive changes following their initial session, a series of sessions is recommended for sustainable outcomes.

HOW MANY SESSIONS IS RECOMMENDED FOR A CHILD?

Shorter, more consistent sessions are most beneficial when treating kids 0-12.  I recommend starting with an initial 45 minute session and then booking two or three 30 minute follow-up sessions for each following week.  I often book out a few weeks in advance so I recommend booking both the initial and follow-up sessions at the same time to ensure that your child has a place in my schedule after your first visit.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

We are able to accept Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex-Spending Account (FSA) to pay for your sessions, as we are an approved provider and craniosacral therapy is a qualified medical expense. We do not bill insurance, but we can provide a super bill for you to submit to your insurance or health care sharing provider.  If you would like to be sent a super bill please email Grace at hello@brookeholland.com

DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?

We currently offer 2 sliding scale sessions for adults and 4 sliding scale sessions for children per month. To discuss your unique situation and explore options that fit your financial needs, please reach out to Grace at hello@brookeholland.com.

IS CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY SAFE? ARE THERE ANY CONTRAINDICATIONS?

In general, craniosacral therapy is incredibly safe and gentle, with no side effects.  There are a few specific situations where craniosacral therapy is contraindicated, such as a recent concussion or stroke (less than 2 weeks) or an active cerebral spinal fluid leak.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We ask that you respect the time that you have reserved and attend your scheduled appointments. Cancellations are costly to our business and also inconvenient to other clients, who may be waiting for an appointment.  We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. Less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full cost of the visit.  You will receive booking reminders via text and email 48 hours before your visit giving you ample time to cancel or reschedule.

I HAVE AN URGENT SITUATION WITH MY CHILD, CAN I BE SEEN SOONER?

We reserve two hours per week for time sensitive cases.  If your child is under 6 months old and is experiencing feeding challenges, significant GI distress, colic, or has had a traumatic birth (or has experienced use of interventions such as vacuum or forceps) we are happy to accommodate you as soon as possible.  If interested please reach out to Grace at hello@brookeholland.com with your unique situation.
